The Force Awakened last night with the round-the-world midnight launch of action figures, models, mugs, t-shirts, and other toys and accessories focused on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Fans at Toys R' Us found previously unrevealed tall figures, an exclusive remote control AT-AT walker, and plenty more in addition to the toys teased during the Star Wars 18 hour livestream unboxing event. Fans that opted for the Disney Store swarmed to the die-cast "Star Wars Elite" line in the midst of picking shelves clean. Oh, and everyone wanted Sphero's BB-8, of course.

But one toy in particular at the Disney Store had some huge hints for fans desperate for anything they can get about the plot of The Force Awakens. The mysterious villain Kylo Ren, played by Adam Driver, has a new talking action figure (exclusive to the store). The oversized figure has a light-up lightsaber (with hilt), and a button on his chest that delivers lines directly from Driver. While I couldn't quite get it to record in the hustle and bustle of the Times Square Disney Store last night, IGN got to isolate the figure in a video that looks comically like they're interviewing an action figure. Possible Spoilers ahead for those sensitive to that sort of thing.

There are some key phrases that should definitely get peoples' speculation engines activated. Phrases like "I've been waiting for this for a long time," "You know what I've come for," and "That weapon is mine" all sound like they could be said from Ren to Finn in the scene where the two confront each other in a snowy forest, lightsabers raised. There has been plenty of rumor and speculation that Kylo Ren is a cultist of some kind, trying to acquire artifacts focused on the Dark Side, and the lightsaber of Anakin "Darth Vader" Skywalker (wielded by Finn in the scene) certainly fits that bill.

There are also lines indicating that Kylo Ren is trying to turn someone else to the Dark Side. Phrases like "Don't be afraid," "Don't fight it, you know you can't," and "Together, we will destroy the resistance and the last Jedi" all indicate that there is someone he wants to join his side. It's also interesting just how parallel that last line is to the tone and mission of the pair of Sith from the original trilogy. Have the Jedi not truly come back in thirty years? Is there no new Jedi Order? That seems to be the indication.

With new descriptions, closer looks at costumes, and yes, recorded phrases, the amount of Star Wars: The Force Awakens knowledge has raised from "barely any" to "just a shade more than barely any," but there is certainly plenty to talk about and keep anticipation high all through the next three months and fourteen days.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters December 18, 2015. See when the other Star Wars movies fall on our complete genre and franchise movie schedule.
