Gillian Anderson ('Agent Scully'), star of the upcoming The X-Files revival, announced via Twitter that filming has wrapped.

Filming began in June and was expected to finish up weeks ago, but for whatever reason Chris Carter and crew needed some additional time to get the miniseries just right before delivering it to Fox.

Thirteen years after the original series run, the next mind-bending chapter of THE X-FILES will be a thrilling, six-episode event series helmed by creator/executive producer Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson re-inhabiting their roles as iconic FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

Check out Anderson's tweet below.

The X-Files 6-episode mini-series on Fox will begin airing January 24, 2016.
