You can add The Incredible Hulk to the ever-growing list of characters who won't be appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Well, "add" is relative. This has already been established at least once or twice, but it's a question that fans continue to ask.

During an impromptu Q&A with fans on social media today, director James Gunn shot down the notion that Hulk's journey into mystery at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron will end with the Jade Giant appearing in the upcoming sci-fi comic book sequel.

"I can answer that question very easily: it is absolute, 100% bull---t," Gunn said of the rumors that there would be a Planet Hulk movie tying in with Guardians during a 2014 interview. "It feels like a great relief to finally say this after all the dumb stuff on the Internet. There's not going to be a Planet Hulk movie, there was never going to be a Planet Hulk movie, there was never a plan for the Hulk to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy – I wouldn't want the Hulk to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy! And it's all a bunch of complete bull---t."

He also said he doesn't consider Guardians a superhero movie, and that his favorite Marvel movie next to Guardians would have to be Iron Man.

He also called one Twitter user a "heretic" for implying DC Comics' Bat-Mite was a rip-off of The Great Gazoo from The Flintstones, after saying that Bat-Mite was the character from DC he'd most want to add into one of his Marvel films.

You can check out the Q&A, in which he dealt with a lot of fan questions, many of which have been answered on this site and others a number of times already, at twitter.com/jamesgunn.
