If you're looking to see a twerking Stormtrooper, you can skip this past weekend's Mythbusters season finale. That's what star Adam Savage joked was one of Lucasfilm's "couple of restrictions." The star said he 'was a little surprised" about how free they were with their properties and support, given the amount of money that's gone into - and is expected to come out of - the Star Wars franchise.

In an interview with THR, Savage talked about why they went back to Star Wars despite it being a fictional franchise, and it's not just because as a former prop maker for the prequels, he has close connections to it. "I love the challenge of finding something testable inside the fiction." The episode focused on the speed of stormtroopers' blaster fire and whether having the high ground in a lightsaber fight would be an insurmountable advantage. That's where the only other real restriction came in, as they "weren't allowed to animate real lightsaber effects onto our lightsabers while fighting." Other than that, and the aforementioned twerking stormtroopers to stay away from, Lucasfilm didn't mind if they busted or confirmed anything in the lore. They even had an official fight choreographer from the films to help with the lightsaber fight.

Check out portions of each segments in the embedded videos, and find out just how fast a blaster bolt goes, then see how seriously goofy Adam and his cohort Jamie Hyneman look in their special lightsaber-testing suits. The full episode is available on demand now.

And if you're curious why they didn't use real lightsabers for the test? "They don't exist," Hyneman said on the aftershow. It's that simple!
