Josh Brolin is all aboard the Thanos train. It's no secret he is ready and excited to play the Mad Titan.

Making his rounds at the Toronto International Film Festival, Brolin opened up about playing Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "It's great. It's actually great and it's one of those decisions where when I made the decision, it wasn't a difficult decision," Brolin told Collider. "Because Kevin Feige and Louis D'Esposito are so smart at using Benny [Del Toro] for Guardians of the Galaxy as The Collector, and I thought it was so good. That kind of thing. It's like, 'Yes, I absolutely want to do this.'"

Brolin is up for the challenge of taking on the Avengers. Though, he admits he was hesitant at first to try out a new brand of acting, saying "It's the type of character where it's him against all of the Avengers, which is fantastic in itself, but doing it is a very different type of acting. So I was a little nervous in the beginning."

With great power comes great responsibility and Brolin understands that, now. "It wasn't until I was doing this movie [Sicario], I walked into a comic book store in Albuquerque and I saw a guy who recognized me as Thanos, who basically had a minor stroke, and I was afraid because his reaction was so severe," he explained. "More severe than I've ever seen any reaction to any actor or somebody recognizable, and I realized Thanos was his life. Thanos was his savior. The whole thing was his — it's like he woke up in the morning swallowed and ate these words in these comic books. So it means a lot. I get the responsibility and I take it with great care."

We sure hope you do, Mr. Brolin. The Marvel Cinematic Universe's big, big bad is near and dear to many of our hearts! But we trust you'll do justice for the Titan in love with Death.

No one knows for sure if we'll see Brolin's Thanos again before the two part Inifinity War, though many suspect he'll turn up in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in 2017. For a complete list of upcoming Marvel films will Thanos is eligible to appear, check out our Comic Book Movie Release Schedule.
