Screenwriter Adam Alleca wants to keep Chris Nolan's Batman universe alive, but with a twist: he's erasing Dark Knight Rises from existence first. That's the start of his pitch on "The Bootleg Universe Pitch Show," a youtube series from Adi Shankar.

Alleca's pitch is centered on Knightfall, the comic book storyline that saw Bruce Wayne fall, quite literally. In his version of a third movie, he takes a Robin under his wings, though he's a "tech support and trainee" more than anything else. He'd still be using Bane as a villain, too, starting a "terror" plot that brings Batman out. The end of Act 1 sees Bruce Wayne's back get broken by Bane.

Act 2 starts with Bane taking over Gotham "virtually overnight." Bruce activates his Robin into the Batman mantle, about "10 years too early," according to Alleca. Bane beats down the new Batman, who blames Bruce's moral codes for the loss. This leads to what comic book fans would recognize as the Az-Bats suit, or as Alleca says, "the Iron Man'ed out Batman suit."

The pitch then goes a bit into Arkham Knight territory, with "drones and low level vehicles patrolling the streets." In fact, the Knightfall storyline crossed into that game a bit as well, with a protocol by the same name as the final unlockable ending, and the costume (seen above) appeared as an extra skin for the game Arkham Origins.

We'll let you check out the rest of Act 2 and Act 3 of the pitch yourself. Basically, this is how the writer of The Last House on the Left would combine Dark Knight Rises with Arkham Knight and elements of Knightfall. It will never get made, but it's easy to imagine, especially for fans of those latter two products.
