The Death Pool: Who Might Die on The Flash or Arrow?

RONNIE RAYMOND
With the appearance of DC's Legends of Tomorrow actor Franz Drameh in a Firestorm costume during a recent promo for The Flash, fan theories that Ronnie Raymond, the half of the Firestorm matrix not named as a series regular on Legends, might not survive until that show premieres in 2016 have picked up.
Could Ronnie die early in the season, setting up a midseason debut for a new Firestorm who could then carry on to Legends of Tomorrow? It doesn't seem like an unreasonable assumption. And given the importance of Firestorm and Arrow to capturing the Reverse-Flash, there's at least enough of a relationship there for Ollie to come pay his respects, even if Ronnie isn't paritcularly tight with Team Arrow.

On the one hand, she's kind of the most logical candidate to make a tragic loss.
After all, from what we can tell it looks like she's about 30 seconds away from getting engaged to Oliver Queen in the Arrow season premiere, and she has dated Barry Allen in the past. She helps both Team Flash and Team Arrow with her computer skills, and has become the centerpiece of much of the non-superhero drama on Arrow.
Frankly, though, I don't believe for a second that she's particularly vulnerable. After building the "Olicity" relationship up so much over the last few years, it would be bizarre to kill her off early in the season (they haven't even reached the midseason finale yet, since they're shooting the Arrow and The Flash crossover episodes right now).

So...they keeps saying that the whole mission statement of Arrow is getting Ollie to be the Green Arrow we know from the comics, right?
You hear that a lot.
He's building to that, he's evolving to that, he's maturing to that, etc.
This season, he takes a big step in that direction, from everything we've heard. He's Green Arrow now. He's got the mask, the identity, a more positive and inspirational vibe.
And remember...Diggle was created for the TV show. If Oliver truly becomes the man he is in the comics...where does that leave him?
prevnextJOE WEST (OR QUENTIN LANCE)
If there's one thing the Arrowverse seems to hate, it's parents.
Like most superhero stories, Arrow and The Flash have their share of parental drama already; Felicity is alienated from her mother most of the time, Iris's mother is who-knows-where. Oliver has lost both parents in the course of his show, and Barry has a mother who was murdered, a biological father in prison...and an adoptive father who has so far managed to dodge the metaphorical bullet.
That bullet, though, was planned for him way back in the pilot for The Flash, according to a commentary track on the recently-released Blu-ray.
Could we see Joe die? Well, if either he or Quentin Lance went, it could bring both groups together, since the pair of them worked closely on investigating the death of the real Harrison Wells last season.
We'd say that the odds-on favorite would be Joe, since he's a father to one of the main characters, whereas Quentin is the father to a supporting character...but then again, the loss of Quentin could provide an interesting springboard for Legends of Tomorrow, in which his resurrected (again) daughter Sara plays a key role.

John Wesley Shipp's character was offscreen for most of Season One, and his presence was felt most keenly in Barry's guilt and loss.
If that's to continue, it seems like leaving him in prison would be treading water at this point. Barry had an opportunity to free his father and save his mother, and he didn't take it: where do you go from there?
Certainly Barry could agonize EVEN MORE about that decision, but it seems like covering a lot of the same ground. But if something were to happen to Henry in prison, and he were to die...well, that could motivate a lot of grief and guilt on the part of the son who chose not to change the past.
