Barbara Kean is definitely up to something on Gotham. After a bad breakup with Jim Gordon last season, she was taken by a serial killer - who flipped a switch in her, leading to her murdering her own parents. A brief stint in Arkham Asylum was cut short by the Galavan siblings, as she and several other season one inmates were broken out.

But now, it sure seems like Barbara has some plans of her own, as she manipulates both Theo and Tabitha Galavan.

"Yes, she definitely has an end point that she's trying to get to," actress Erin Richards told ComicBook.com during an interview at New York Comic Con. "You'll see that develop as the season gets around [episode] 6, and 7, and 8, you'll see that development coming to fruition for her."

She's enjoying getting to play the manipulative and conniving new Barbara, and exploring a very different kind of character from the one she started with.

"That's really fun, obviously. It's this ultimate play with her and me now. I'm not as set as some of the other characters are, as far as people knowing them well. So I'm able to really make Barbara my own a bit more," Richards said.

Does that mean she could still be redeemed from her actions? "I don't know," she answered honestly. As far as that little Barbara-as-Joker theory of ours, Richards can't play into it too much for us, but if you watch the video above, she does give us a little chuckle.
