Star Wars Rebels Princess Leia Figure Revealed

The effort to step up action figure development of female characters continues, as Hasbro has revealed that despite only a one-episode appearance, a Star Wars Rebels prominent guest star will get her own action figure later this year. Princess Leia, who appeared in the season two episode "A Princess on Lothal," though a few years younger than her film appearances, will get her own action figure in the series.

The series is a 3.75" line, and Leia will fit in with the other figures from the series. Her figure is due to arrive in stores this fall.

The announcement of the figure, coming before Toy Fair next month, seems at least partially in response to the perceived lack of Rey toys for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The "Where's Rey" internet campaign has seen direct responses from Hasbro and other manufacturers before this announcement.
