Lionsgate is continuing its push for its upcoming film Gods of Egypt.

The studio announced today that it nabbed a 60-second commercial spot during Super Bowl 50 to show a new preview of the movie. That's nearly $10 million for one ad spot which shows Lionsgate and Summit's belief in the movie. Lionsgate can't afford another disappointment after its stock took a serious hit following the lackluster Hunger Games finale in November.

In Gods of Egypt, the survival of mankind hangs in the balance when Set (Gerard Butler), the merciless god of darkness, usurps Egypt's throne and plunges the prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. Hoping to save the world and rescue his true love, a defiant mortal named Bek (Brenton Thwaites) forms an unlikely alliance with the powerful god Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Their battle against Set and his henchmen takes them into the afterlife and across the heavens for an epic confrontation.

Gods of Egypt is directed by Alex Proyas and stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Brenton Thwaites, Chadwick Boseman, Elodie Yung, Courtney Eaton, Rufus Sewell, Gerard Butler, and Geoffrey Rush.

Gods of Egypt opens in theaters Feb. 26.
