Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 First Synopsis Released

Production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has officially begun in Atlanta, Ga. The press release for the start of production announcement also includes our first, short synopsis of the film's plot.

It sounds like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be very Quill-centric. Here's the plot description:

Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" continues the team's adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill's true parentage.

We knew that the mystery of Star-Lord's father would at least be part of the sequel's story, but the new synopsis makes it seem like it may be the driving force.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Karen Gillan, and Kurt Russell.
