We Might Meet Leonard's Dad On The Big Bang Theory

We just might get to meet Mr. Hofstadter Sr. soon, according to TVline.com. The current storyline has revolved around Howard and Bernadette, but their status as parents to be might just bring in some extended family that hasn't graced the screen yet.

According to Executive Producer Steve Molaro, Leonard's father might be part of that extended family as the show looks to fill in some long wondered questions.

"I will tell you that we've been starting to think about other people we haven't met, like Leonard's dad and who that might be. We're thinking about [exploring that before the end of Season 9]."

Not much has been mentioned about Leonard's father, other than the one-off mention from Beverly that "he cheated on her with a waitress from the Princeton cafeteria". Leonard's relationship with his mom has always been strained, so it would be interesting to see where he gets some of his more tender traits from.
