Despite all hopes, expectations, and hints from the Russo Brothers, we won't be seeing Wakanda in Captain America: Civil War, after all.

When posed the question of whether or not we'll visit his Black Panther character's home in Civil War, Chadwick Boseman said simply, "No, sorry." He's aware of our hopes and dreams though, adding, "I know you thought you were because of Age of Ultron, but… it's not happening."

We will, however, hear a Wakandan accent. "He found a regional accent based on where Wakanda would be," director Joe Russo says.

Seeing as this is not an origin story and we won't be visiting T'Challa's stomping grounds, we'll be meeting Black Panther "in a basic way," according to Boseman. "You're seeing him in the larger scheme of things, like fighting outside of his country. So, it will definitely affect what you see later. That's all I can say."

Looks like we'll have to wait until 2018 to really get to know Black Panther and his home.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6.
