Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck's version of Batman is far from the ones we have previously seen on film, and his debut scene in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice only cements that.

In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, Affleck explains how this Batman is questioning if this whole process has been worth it. He's older and already been through so much. That same gloomy haze is also present in Batman's opening scene, which we don't have an idea of what it includes, but we do know the vibe the team is going for.

LA Times writer Josh Rottenberg points out "The first time we see Batman in this movie, it almost plays like a scene in a horror movie."

Affleck agrees, saying "Exactly. It's like out of "Se7en" or "Aliens" or something, which is a really different vibe. My son still watches the Adam West "Batman" [TV series]. It's a far cry from where it started."

Batman V Superman will certainly not have Affleck running down the pier with a giant bomb, but we only have to wait until March 25th to see how this all plays out.
