The most recent Ghostbusters trailer has been met with equal parts enthusiasm and foreboding, and for Kevin Smith, it's actually a bit of both.

He and Ralph Garman commented on the newest trailer on their show Hollywood Babble-On, and Smith's opinion of the trailer itself was far positive.

"Whoever cut this trailer needs to be sat down, and I'm not going to call for their job to be taken away from them but, they need to be scolded."

Ralph and Kevin did make clear that it has nothing to do with the cast or the fact that the movie stars all female leads. They spoke incredibly highly of Director Paul Feig and actors Kristin Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon, but that doesn't mean the trailer was any good.

It could've been all men with the same jokes, and it still would have duded. The trailer's not strong, and that doesn't mean the movie's gonna blow, like again the f****** pedigree of this movie is undeniable. There's no way all these people involved don't make a f****** funny, at least watchable fun movie."

While he still has a bad taste in his mouth from the trailer, he's still fairly high on the movie itself. Personally, I really enjoyed the trailer, but I can see some of their points, especially the part about the initial 30 years later flashback, without any other tying into the original films. That doesn't really make any sense.
