Keanu Reeves Says They're Just Trying To Get Bill And Ted 3 Story Right

A third Bill and Ted movie is "closer, but not closer," franchise star Keanu Reeves said during a new interview.

"We’re expecting another draft and hopefully we’ll get closer," Reeves told IGN. "We’re trying to get the story right. We’re working with this studio so we have a little bit of support, in a sense of like if the material comes through we’ll try and make this picture."

The project has been rumored for years, and in around 2013, Reeves and his co-star Alex Winter -- currently crowdfunding a film on Frank Zappa -- started to talk about very specific plans to write a film about Bill and Ted suffering writers' block while trying to create the song that will lead to the idyllic, peaceful future seen in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
