The Oculus Rift is part of a new push for more inclusive and realistic virtual reality experiences, and Crytek is hoping their new title, The Climb, fits that bill.

In the new game, you'll be experiencing first hand the sensation of climbing up craggy mountains and dangerous inclines. The teaser trailer above shows you a small sample size of the second climbing location for the game, which focuses on The Alps. On first appearance, the scenery is quite breathtaking, and audio seems to play a big part in the experience as well. You'll hear the rushing waters of a nearby waterfall or a random migration of birds as you make your up, along with the occasional grunt or groan from your first person avatar.

All of this seems to create a peaceful, almost zen-like experience that in VR should really be impressive if the climbing mechanic is as fluid as the trailer makes it seem. You can find out more about the game at their official site.
