The search for the Rebel base continues on Star Wars Rebels, with the Yast System found by joining Rex's Old Republic map and Zeb's map from his Lasat friends. As the crew went in search of fuel to head out to explore the new map, they left Chopper in charge of the Ghost. But he was distracted when he saw a leg strut that looked like his original, instead of the replacement he's been using for some time.

Chopper leaves the ship and tries to purchase the matching strut.

Meanwhile, the rest of the crew goes after some fuel – which they're not buying, they're stealing, from the Empire, of course. As they steal it and leave, getting on the Ghost to leave… Chopper is still hanging by the shop. And, they leave.

Chopper tries to escape with the leg, and the shopkeep sends stormtroopers after him. Chopper makes his escape – mistakenly directly onto an Imperial transport.

An Alan Rickman-sounding droid starts investigating the room Chopper was hiding out in, and Chopper claims to be an Imperial droid. AB-5, the inventory droid, isn't buying it. You can actually hear the words Chopper is saying much more clearly in this episode.

As he's chased and backed down, Chopper reveals he was a military droid – and a war hero! He served in the Clone Wars, and claims he was part of the Ryloth campaign, in a Y wing. He was rescued… by Hera. AB-5 was a Republic navigator, and was downgraded to inventory by the Empire. Chopper attempts to recruit the droid, and removes his restraining bolt.

The commander finds the two of them talking, and Chopper tries to take him down – finally finding success with a well-placed shock.

Chopper rolls around the ship, rapidly drawing the stormtroopers on board into the cargo bay. He manages to trap the troopers in the cargo bay, and jettisons it into space.

Back on the Ghost, they return to the fleet to find it under attack. Ketsu and her Shadowcaster take the Ghost into the fleet to refuel. After a dangerous landing, Chopper and his new recruit arrive. AB-5 tells them the Imperial Fleet has been dispatched to the Yast System for a trap. Cross-referencing the Rebel and Imperial data, AB-5 gives them new coordinates – but is shot by the Imperial commander in the process. Chopper takes him out, but too late. The Rebel fleet jumps. "The entire Rebel Fleet is betting on Chopper," Hera says worried.

AB-5 deactivates as Chopper sighs sadly.

Luckily, Sabine happens to be one heck of a mechanic, and repairs AB-5 – using thermo sensors from Chopper's stolen leg. Suddenly they have a very Threepio-Artoo relationship, and it's awesome.
