Maze Runner: Death Cure Halts Production Due to Dylan O'Brien Injury

Maze Runner lead actor Dylan O'Brien was unfortunately involved in an on-set accident and is currently getting treatment for his injuries.

TMZ reports that during the filming of Maze Runner: The Death Cure, there was a scene involving a vehicle, and due to unexplained events the actor was run over. Due to the incident, he has suffered multiple broken bones and was rushed to the hospital.

Production has been halted until he can recover. We wish the actor a speedy recovery.

  1. Holy moly. That sounds like a serious injury. Rare to see a star put in such a dangerous position to even be exposed to such risk. A lot of people are going to get fired for this...

    UPDATE with details of injury: Dylan O’Brien, star of 20th Century Fox’s Maze Runner franchise, was injured on the set of Maze Runner: The Death Cure today in Vancouver, BC. Fox said he was sent to the hospital immediately but did not offer details. O’Brien apparently fell off the back of a set that was supposed to look like the back of a train and fractured either his cheekbone or orbital socket (still not clear on the details) when he fell on his face. The production has been shut down “while he recovers,” the studio says.
