What Role Does Aquaman Play In Batman V Superman?

If you haven't seen Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice just yet, you might be wondering what role Jason Momoa's portrayal of Aquaman plays in the movie.

In Dawn of Justice, Aquaman plays a small role which doesn't have much of an impact on the plot. He has been discovered by Lex Luthor's research and caught on camera. After Bruce Wayne discovers through this research that Diana is Wonder Woman, he sends the files to her, where she finds footage of The Flash, Cyborg, herself, and Aquaman.

Aquaman is seen in the wreckage of ship. His eyes glow as he slowly creeps out of the shadows towards the camera. When he gets there, he moves in place for a moment with his hair looking almost like an octopus before jabbing the camera with his trident. Immediately after destroying one camera, the angle switches to the other and sees Aquaman take off through the water. It looks just like Superman's flight - but underwater.

It was in that moment, that any jokes about Aquaman were laid to rest.

Though Bruce Wayne wasn't seen watching the footage in the movie, one can only assume he went through all of the files available to him and not only Diana's. It is likely what he refers to at the end of the film when he tells Ms. Prince that they need to come together.
