With HBO's release of the newest trailer for it's upcoming sixth season of Game of Thrones, there is certain to be lots of battle and blood.

The trailer features Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce) and Jaqen H'ghar (Tom Wlaschiha) talking about death, along with flashes from battle scenes and a handful of other characters mixed in. It has enough detail to tease fans and keep them on the edge of their seats with anticipation, while not actually giving away any information about what's to come.

But one of the show's favorite characters is notably absent, still leaving fans wondering whether Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is dead or alive. And while several cast members, along with Harington himself, have said his character is dead, fans are still anxious with speculation.

Harington recently confirmed to Time Out that he would be returning for season six… but as a corpse. He said he's filmed some scenes being dead, but wouldn't reveal any further details though. Though, the storyline surrounding his death must be thrilling for sure as Jon Snow's character has made several appearances in some of HBO's early marketing for the upcoming season.

Sean Bean, who played Ned Stark (Jon Snow's father) in season one of Game of Thrones, recently sat down with Larry King and spoke about whether or not he thinks his 'son' will return to the show. You can watch the clip below:

Season 6 of Game of Thrones returns to HBO on Sunday April 24.
