During the first hour of the WWE WrestleMania Kickoff Show, Lita teased an announcement that she said she wouldn't reveal til the second hour. So, after the Divas 10-woman tag match, Lita debuted the new WWE Women's Championship.
She announced that the winner of WrestleMania's triple threat Diva Championship, would be the last Divas Championship and be crowned the new WWE Women's Champion. We reported that a new belt had been commissioned earlier last week, but the design is more based on the current WWE World Heavyweight Championship, instead of the classic Big Gold Belt design.
"Ladies, may the best woman win," Lita said.
