Walt Disney Studios CinemaCon Presentation

To start the presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Walt Disney Studios showcased a sizzle reel of films including Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Finding Dory, The Jungle Book and more.

Focus is first on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which is set just before 1977's Star Wars: A New Hope. The already released trailer was played on the big screen and will be attached to Captain America: Civil War.

The attention turns to animated films, emphasizing the recent success of Zootopia. Disney executive, Dave Hollis, proudly goes on to showcase the upcoming slate which is comprised of Moana and The Jungle Book, ultimately predicting their success by reflecting on films such as Oz, The Great And Powerful, Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, and Maleficent. Alice's sequel, Through The Looking Glass, is a movie Disney is particularly excited about. Pete's Dragon, with Robert Redford, will arrive in March and Beauty and the Beast has had test screening reactions which are "nothing short of extraordinary," according to Hollis.

The Queen of Kate, starring Lupita Nyong'o and David Oyelowo and directed by Mira Nair, promises to make everyone weep. The further run down includes The BFG and Finding Dory. Andrew Stanton and Lindsey Collins introduced the first 27 minutes of Finding Dory.

After the footage, Hollis turns his attention to Marvel with a reference to Inhumans. He compliments the $9 billion worldwide the twelve Marvel films to date and focuses on how different movies like The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy are but still manage to find massive success and acclaim. He goes on to briefly discuss Doctor Strange before introducing the trailer.

With an image of the massive release schedule on the screen, Hollis concludes the presentation with a screening of Captain America: Civil War.
