AMC's The Walking Dead is casting for a role that sounds suspiciously like Ezekiel, a fan-favorite character from the comics.

The network is looking for an African American character in his forties who is described as "flamboyant and wise, nice and weird," according to TVLine.

They're calling the character Augustus, but it fits with Ezekiel, leader of The Kingdom. In the comics, Ezekiel has a tiger, and at one point had a relationship with Michonne.

Ezekiel and Shiva have already been teased by the producers, and The Walking Dead has a history of using fake names in casting calls and sides in order to preserve secrecy when bringing in characters familiar to readers of the comics.

Speaking to a source involved with The Walking Dead recently, ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis was told that the showrunners are "trying" to bring Shiva -- Ezekiel's famous pet -- to the show. He believes signs are pointing to a tiger roaring its way into the trailer which will be released at the San Diego Comic Con panel for The Walking Dead in July.

The Walking Dead's seventh season launches on AMC in October.
