Since every superhero movie feeds directly into a future film, plot point, or character reveal, actors have found themselves very limited as to what they can say on air or in an interview.

J.K. Simmons, who will be playing the part of Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming Justice League: Part 1, found himself in that same position with Seth Meyers last night when asked about the new part.

"It's very cool yeah, and of course, everything is top secret so I don't know if I'm allowed to say anything else."

Meyers quipped "it must have a lack of fun to it how little you can say", which Simmons wholeheartedly agreed with, saying: "It truly does yeah. I think I'm playing Commissioner Gordon..." as he looked around nervously.

Especially when a film is this far out, I get the silence, and though fans hate the slow trickle of information, they do tend to love actually being surprised when they get into the theater.

Justice League: Part 1 drops on November 17th, 2017.
