ComicBook.com reported over the weekend that Nintendo had begun a surprise worldwide distribution for the legendary Pokemon Zygarde. Now, news has come out that North American Pokemon fans will also receive two additional Legendary Pokemon later this month, albeit with a very limited window of opportunity. Later this month, Nintendo will distribute Xerneas and Yveltal, the mascot Pokemon for Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, to North American trainers. Both Xerneas and Yveltal will also have the alternate "Shiny" coloring, which is nearly impossible to get in normal gameplay.

While the rest of the world will have until May 26 to get their copy of Zygarde, the North American distribution will end on May 8th. North American trainers can then get their Shiny Xerneas from May 11th through May 17th. The Shiny Yveltal will run three days after the Xerneas distribution ends and will run from May 20th through May 26th. Trainers can get their copies of all three Kalos Legendaries using the "Mystery Gift" option on their copies of Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire.

May is shaping up to be a major month for Legendary and Mythical Pokemon. In addition to the Kalos Legendaries, trainers can also get a Darkrai from their local game stores (In the US, player can pick up a code at Gamestop). Also, subscribers to the Pokemon Trainers Club newsletter will also receive codes for all three Legendary birds later this month.

Be sure to follow our Pokemon-themed Facebook page for reminders for each distribution and plenty more Pokemon related news.
