Pokemon Trading Card Game's Newest Expansion Comes Out Today

The Pokemon Trading Card Game's newest expansion, "Fates Collide", hits stores beginning today. Fates Collide is the XY Series eleventh expansion and introduces several new Mega Evolutions and powerful BREAK cards to the still-popular trading card game. Fates Collide introduces 125 new cards to the Pokemon Trading Card game, including ten new "ultra rare" and powerful cards. Fates Collide also introduces the Legendary Pokemon Zygarde and its various formes to the Trading Card game.

The crown jewels of Fates Collide are the new Alakazam-EX and Mega Alakazam-EX cards, both of which can deal out enormous amounts of damage to multiple opponents during a single turn. The Carbink BREAK card will also be a sought after card for competitive players, as it has a Safeguard feature that negates attacks from EX Pokemon and can quickly distribute energy to a player's other Pokemon on his or her bench.

Fates Collide also introduces two new pre-built decks centered around Zygarde and Lugia, two of the more powerful cards in the expansion. Fates Collide could be the last expansion released for the Pokemon Trading Card Game until Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon come out later this year.
