Warning! Major Spoilers ahead for season six of Game of Thrones. Read ahead only if you've seen episode three, or if you just don't care.

After a much anticipated resurrection and a violent revenge, Jon Snow handed over the Night's Watch in valiant fashion. Upon taking off his Lord Commander coat and handing it to his beloved pal Eddison, Jon declared that his "Watch is ended." Watching him walk out of the gate into Westeros, his face made it clear that he was on a mission. He didn't say where he was headed, nor did the preview of episode four give us any indication, but there are definitely a couple of solid options.

First, he could be going to build an army to battle the White Walkers. I know this doesn't sound super exciting, but Jon is the only one in Westeros fit to battle an undead army. Not only did he go toe-to-toe with a zombie king but Jon himself is, well, also undead. Just south of the wall he's got a country of Wildlings taking up residence, and below that he has an army of Stark bannerman, some of which are still loyal to Ned and his family. Along with soldiers, it's not unreasonable to think Jon could also be gathering knowledge and magic. Having a master around when the Walkers come knocking wouldn't be the worst thing. While this option makes total sense, it doesn't do much to explain the look in Jon's eye as he walked out.

He could be going to find his siblings, whom he hasn't seen since the first season. This isn't an unreasonable thing to think, seeing as how he's finally allowed to leave Castle Black. Everyone would understand if he just needed some sibling catch-up time. After all, each of his siblings has been through the ringer since they last saw Jon, so there would be no shortage of stories to tell.

Jon could be headed, and most fans are hoping for this, to take back Winterfell. He knows that the Bolton's control The North and his inner Stark doesn't take too kindly to that. With Sansa being the only Stark in a position to really do anything productive at the moment, it would be feasible to think that Jon is the frontrunner to wage war on Ramsey and his men. Plus, Jon has the support of the wildings, the Night's Watch, the few bannermen still loyal to the Starks, and what's left of the Baratheon Army. Being that Jon is a man whom others easily rally around, it's not a stretch to think that he could patch together an army and take over Winterfell. This theory would also explain the terrifying look on Jon's face as he left Castle Black.

My theory? It's a combination of the three. In order to fight the White Walkers, Jon is going to need all the help he can get. He'll need man-power, wisdom, magic, and a metric ton of Valyrian Steel. This is a battle he can't win alone. But, with the power of the Stark family (Remember, they've got a Warg and a trained assassin among them), The entire power of Northern Bannermen, the Wildlings, and the Night's Watch, they have a pretty solid army to march North of the Wall with. He can't gather the power of his siblings without, well, gathering his siblings. And he sure as hell can't lead a Northern army as long as the Boltons are still considered Wardens of The North. Both of these things need to happen in order for Jon to have a chance against the evil that lies north of The Wall but, if anyone can do it, it's Jon Snow.
