A recent profile by Vogue has shed some light on Margot Robbie's feelings about Harley Quinn. The 25 year old Australian actress plays the psychopathic ex-sidekick of the Joker in this summer's Suicide Squad, and she pointed to a surprising reason the character is so endearing. "She’s just a psychopath who runs around gleefully killing people," Robbie told Vogue reporter Jonathan Van Meter. "She finds joy in causing mayhem, which makes her weirdly endearing and fun to watch.”

The Vogue profile also interviewed David Ayer, the director of Suicide Squad, who praised Robbie for her work on set. "[Robbie] has ridiculous depth, and she's never been coddled, so she's very physically courageous," Ayer told the magazine. "The things she was doing herself as far as stunts, you wouldn't believe. There's only a handful of actors who do that sort of work themselves."

Robbie also briefly discusses giving her Suicide Squad castmates tattoos in the article, mentioning that she gave Cara Delevingne "toemojis", different emoji face tattoos on the bottom of her toes, before convincing the whole cast to get matching tattoos. Per the article, Robbie often spent her time in between takes giving the Suicide Squad cast and crews tattoos using her own tattoo kit.

Suicide Squad comes out August 5, 2016.
