Happy Birthday! Sean Gunn Turns 42 Today

Sean Gunn, the actor who stands in for Rocket Raccoon during produciton on the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, turns 42 today.

Gunn is the brother of filmmaker James Gunn, with whom he's worked on numerous projects including the two Guardians of the Galaxy movies. He got his start in James's Tromeo and Juliet but has gone on to work in many projects without his brother, too, including 3rd Rock From the Sun, Glee, and Bones.

His most famous role was as Kirk Gleason on Gilmore Girls. He appeared in over 100 episodes of the series, and will return for Gilmore Girls: A Year In the Life, 2017's planned reunion series on Netflix.

Gunn also plays Kraglin, a member of The Ravagers, who seem to have a fairly significant role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 if any of the many rumors surrounding the film turn out to be true. He'll appear in both roles for the second movie, as he did in Guardians of the Galaxy.
