In an X-Men: Apocalypse viral video that doesn't seem to know whether it's hilarious or painful to listen to, 20th Century Fox took actual voicemails left by actual fans and put them into a youtube video. Take a deep breath, press play, and just let yourself laugh.

The voicemails came in response to the phone number for Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters from a previous video, and Fox says over 75,000 people called the number. That's a lot of potential mutants out there! Highlights in the calls include a message from a guy who's not quite sure what Sentinels are called (those robot monster things), and a fan doing a so-so Deadpool impersonation.

X-Men: Apocalypse is in theaters now, after a solid head-start at the international box office with an extra week in many markets. The movie is expected to fairly easily take the weekend's top spot in the U.S. with somewhere in the $80 million range. Apocalypse hasn't been very well reviewed by many critics (we respectfully disagree in our review), but fan response seems to be considerably better from the preview night showings. The movie, the ninth in the X-Men lineup, sees a new generation of X-Men taking on the oldest mutant, a near-immortal and thousands-of-years-old monster named Apocalypse.

X-Men: Apocalypse stars Oscar Isaac, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and many more, and is directed by Bryan Singer.
