Happy Birthday! Tom Holland Turns 20 Years Old Today

Today is Tom Holland's birthday.

Actor Tom Holland is the newest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe but perhaps is the most important addition.

That's because the actor debuted as Spider-Man in the blockbuster Marvel Studios production Captain America: Civil War this year, which itself was part of a landmark deal between Marvel and Sony to share the character amongst the two studios.

It didn't hurt that he hit the role out of the park, embodying some of Spidey's most loved traits, including his humbleness, sense of responsibility, and generally quippy nature. Holland's first solo outing as Spidey is set for 2017, the much anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming, which will also star Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man.

The actor made an early name for himself in projects like Locke, Wolf Hall, and In The Heart of the Sea. In addition to Homecoming, the actor also has the big budget Jumanji remake in the works alongside the Rock.
