Starting today, trainers across the world will be able to get the mythical Pokemon Manaphy. As part of Pokemon's ongoing 20th anniversary celebration, Nintendo is distributing Manaphy via the "Mystery Gift" function on Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. Manaphy will be available from June 1st through June 24th.

Manaphy has an unusual history, in part due to the unique circumstances it was originally distributed. Unlike other mythical Pokemon that were given out via events, Manaphy could only be obtained in game via communicating with a copy of Pokemon Ranger. Manaphy is also unique in that it's the only mythical Pokemon who can breed, although its offspring Phione isn't able to evolve. This Manaphy comes at Level 100 with the moves Tail Glow, Bubble, and Water Sport, but without its signature move Heart Swap.

Manaphy is the latest mythical Pokemon to be distributed as part of Pokemon's 20th anniversary celebration. The company previously distributed Mew, Darkrai, Celebi, and Jirachi and plans to release Keldeo, Shaymin, Arceus, Genesect, Meloetta and Victini later this year.
