During last night's Bethesda presentation at E3 2016, the company blew the roof off the place right from the start announcing that Quake is back. Quake Champions is the newest installment in the classic First Person Shooter franchise and the company debuted it in style with a brand new cinematic trailer.

ID Software, the creators of Quake, will still be leading the charge with Champions, but are looking to make the game a bit more competitive. Those in attendance were treated to Tim Willits, co-creator of the original game, to shed some light on what players can expect.

"A competitive arena-style first-person shooter for the PC designed for players of all skill levels," said Willits "Whether you are new to Quake or have been fragging for the last 20 years, Quake Champions will give you the challenge and rush you'd expect from iD Software multiplayer games."

"The game features a diverse cast of warriors each with different attributes and unique abilities, allowing you to fight the way you want," Willits continued. "iD has a long tradition of supporting competitive tournaments. The game is designed for world-class eSports play at every level."
