Nintendo started off its E3 Treehouse presentation with what many expected to be the star of this year's show, The Legend of Zelda, and announced the full title for the game as The Legend of the Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

In addition to the title, they showed a packed new trailer for the much anticipated Wii U and NX title, which included a sizable look at the new environments for the game. Birds and deer can be seen frolicking throughout the world, which blends a cartoony filter with more realistic models and environments. The animations are silky smooth, and honestly, the blend of visual stylings is perfect for the Zelda universe.

Link can be seen hang gliding, climbing, and riding his trusty steed throughout the world, and one piece of it will be the focus of their presentations at E3, the plateau area. In the trailer, we also get a quick look at some combat, but it appears to be in line with previous Zelda titles.

Where it does differ from previous entries in the series is in how Link acquires health. You'll no longer find hearts strewn about in the grass, so to keep your health up you'll need to periodically grab some food or acquire health items. Your weapons will wear down over time, so you'll also have to pick up weapons as you go to replace them or you can simply steal the enemy's weapons.

This world is vast and beautiful, but it also contains some much-needed depth for Link's new journey.
