Marvel Arts Variant Figures

Marvel Play Arts is rolling out some all-new variants, and each of the pieces' slick style goes to show that action figures aren't just for kids anymore.

Releasing their three new models, Marvel Play Arts is partnering with Amiami to collect the new figures' pre-orders, and collectors are already buzzing over the news. The figures included in the announcement are of Spider-Man, Venom, and Iron Man in Limited Color Versions. And, for fans willing to lay down the cash for these collector's items, they're scheduled to be released in October.

Compared to his appearance in Captain America: Civil War, Iron Man looks totally different in this special variant figure. The item comes in a gunmetal grey color that's accented with the hero's iconic red coloring. The ensemble, which looks much like Iron Man's Mark II suit, includes several awesome accessories like missile add-ons, jet flaps, interchangeable hands (with thrusters!), and a figure stand.

As for Spider-Man, the buff figure comes clad in the character's black Symbiote suit. Like Iron Man, the figure also comes with accessories like interchangeable hands which allow collectors to pose the figure with clenched fists or outreached palms ready to grab onto swinging webs. Other accessories include lines of plastic spider webbing, a blast of Spidey's webbing, and a figure stand as well.

Venom also wows as its figure features an intricate red and black color scheme which contrasts with the character's white-accented mask. The figure looks much like the villain, Carnage, whose history is deeply rooted in Spider-Man lore. Like the other variant figures, Venom comes with his own accessories like alternative face masks, swappable hands, and his own webbing blasts.

These three action figures totally transcend the label of toy and certify the pieces as genuine works of art. And, as such, their price tags reflect the hard work that went into creating the variants. The Spider-Man and Iron Man pieces will run you $87 (9,100 Yen) while Venom's most robust figure will cost $94 (9,870 Yen).
