The audience at CineEurope was privy to an exclusive presentation from Warner Bros, spotlighting their upcoming slate of films.

Those films included Kong: Skull Island, The Legend of Tarzan, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, and the upcoming Patty Jenkins directed Wonder Woman solo film starring Gal Gadot (via THR).

The presentation included a behind the scenes glimpse of the film, as well as a video from Justice League Director Zack Snyder, Gadot, and Superman actor Henry Cavill.

The solo Wonder Woman feature will be more of an origin story for the heroine as Gadot has alluded to in the past, saying: "In Batman V Superman, you are being introduced to a very experienced, dark Wonder Woman," Gadot said. "She has been around for a while. Something happened 100 years ago that made her not want to be involved in a man's world. However, we are going to tell the entire coming of age story of Diana. We're going to see how she becomes Wonder Woman. She is very different to the Diana that you see in [Dawn Of Justice]. She is more naïve and she's purer. She is a young idealist who does not yet understand the complexities of life."

While that is where the character starts out, the other traits we've come to expect from Diana will be apparent in the film, the same traits she displayed in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

"It was important for me that we show how independent she is. She is not relying on a man, and she's not there because of a love story. She's not there to serve someone else. She has so many strengths and powers, but at the end of the day she's a woman with a lot of emotional intelligence...I think women are amazing for being able to show what they feel. I admire women who do. I think it's a mistake when women cover their emotions to look tough. I say let's own who we are and use it as a strength."
