Brock Lesnar Responds To Stephanie McMahon's Comments About His UFC Fight

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion is headed back to the Octagon at UFC 200 facing off against Mark Hunt. Lesnar briefly fought in UFC, eventually winning their Heavyweight Championship, until an illness took him out and he returned to the WWE in 2012 with a part-time status. Recently, WWE announced that Lesnar would be their cover star of their WWE2K17 video game, surprisingly taking the spot over such notable favorites like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and even current WWE Champion, Dean Ambrose.

In the past, some returning legends have taken the cover like the Rock on 2K13 and Stone Cold Steve Austin for last year's 2K16, but with Lesnar's part-time status is still feels like an interesting position to be in...especially given his recent comments about Stephanie McMahon.

Lesnar talked to MMAFighting.com and had some not-so-kind words about the Chief Brand Officer, and daughter of the owner.

McMahon had said in the past that the WWE was not fully supporting the fight necessarily, meaning not a lot of promotion of the WWE side compared to a Lesnar contest in the WWE. Lesnar said he didn't care what she said. He also commented on how a loss might affect his drawing power and how "really doesn't give a shit".

"The Beast Incarnate" also talked about he doesn't feel like it's necessary to think about what his WWE fans think about him while he's in the Octagon.

"Granted, without the fans and everything, none of us would be able to do this. I get that. But I don't sit up at night wondering is my drawing power gonna be hurt or are my WWE fans gonna tune in and watch me do this. I don't give two shits about that. This is about me. I want to get in there and be an athlete again. That's what this is about."

The fight with Hunt is considered a one-off for Lesnar as he makes his return to next month's WWE SummerSlame, one of their marquee pay-per-view events.
