Yesterday, Pokemon Go released its first update, fixing several log-in issues and fixing a Google permissions issue related to iOS devices. Unfortunately, Pokemon Go players who use a Pokemon Trainers Club account immediately noticed that the update actually made it impossible to log-in. Players trying to log in via their Trainers Club account would automatically get locked out due to a flaw in Pokemon Go's programming. This was especially frustrating for younger fans who didn't have Google accounts to use an alternate way of logging in.

This morning, Niantic Labs released Pokemon Go V 1.0.2, which supposedly fixes the Pokemon Trainers Club log-in problem. So far, we haven't seen any complaints about the new update, so hopefully this fixes the Trainers Club issue once and for all.

Due to Pokemon Go's immense popularity, the mobile app has faced several unexpected problems during its first week of release. The game suffered from frequent server crashes during peak hours due to overwhelming traffic. iOS users also noticed the game asked for "Full Acccount Access" to their Google accounts, which hypothetically could be used to access email or Google Docs accounts. Niantic confirmed that Pokemon Go's programming actually made this impossible, but fixed the problem anyways. The game is also under scrutiny for using spots like the Holocaust Museum as a PokeStop, which some feel is in poor taste. A US Senator is also requesting answers to what sort of information Pokemon Go collects.

Pokemon Go is available in the United States, Australia, New Zealand and Germany.
