Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition: Batman's Weapons Featurette Released

Even though the Ultimate Edition of Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman has been released, Warner Bros. has put out another featurette promoting the superior cut. This one focuses on Superman's heat vision and the suit and weapons Batman uses in the opening moments of their fight in Gotham City.

"This tap, that Superman give Batman, sends him flying 60 feet at a speed over 45 miles per hour," the narrator explains. "That's the length of four mid-size sedans in less than a second. Thankfully, his mech-suit, made of a lead-based alloy, helps to soften the blow

"Batman's weapon system includes motified .50-cal machine guns firing armor-piercing bullets, paired with a belt-fed M240. The bullets on the .50 cal can pierce to 2.5 inches of steel, but to the Man of Steel, the impact of these bullets is akin to being bombared with baseballs at 60 miles per hour.

"The temperature of Superman's scorching heat visioncan reach 10,000 degrees fahrenheit or 5,500 degrees celsius."

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.

Directed by Zack Snyder, the film also stars Oscar nominees Amy Adams ("American Hustle," "Man of Steel") as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg ("The Social Network") as Lex Luthor, Diane Lane ("Unfaithful," "Man of Steel") as Martha Kent, and Laurence Fishburne ("What's Love Got to Do with It," "Man of Steel") as Perry White; Oscar winners Jeremy Irons ("Reversal of Fortune") as Alfred, and Holly Hunter ("The Piano") as Senator Finch; and Gal Gadot (the "Fast and Furious" films) as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince.
