San Diego Comic-Con is in full swing, and with the start of the biggest comic show of the year, expect plenty of information about upcoming series from all the biggest publishers.
DC Comics started things off with a look at their upcoming Supergirl Rebirth during their DC All Access Panel. The book is being written by Steve Orlando with art from Emanuela Lupacchino, Ray McCarthy, and Michael Atiyeh. You can catch a preview of the book in the gallery, and the official description is listed below. Supergirl Rebirth hits comic stores on August 17th.
Supergirl turns to the shadowy organization known as the D.E.O. (Department of Extranormal Operations) to restore her lost powers once and for all! But as a fateful experiment sends Kara Zor-El rocketing toward the sun, disaster strikes at home in the form of the lost Kryptonian werewolf Lar-On! All the epic action of the brand new Supergirl series starts here!
The panel also shed some light on what's next for Kara in the upcoming Supergirl #1, which will put her face to face with her father, who also happens to be Cyborg Superman. Writer Steve Orlando picks up where he left off with Rebirth, and will be joined by artists Brian Ching and Michael Atiyeh.
