Miguel Sapochnik Teases Return To Game Of Thrones

When the list of directors for Game of Thrones seven-episode seventh season came out, fans of the HBO program noticed that one of the show's most iconic directors was sidelined for the penultimate season.

However, Miguel Sapochnik, director of Battle of the Bastards, Hardhome, and several other fan-favorite episodes might just be coming back to the director's chair for Game of Thrones' final season.

During Game of Thrones' Hall H panel at San Diego Comic Con on Friday, Sapochnik was asked if he will return to the show for season eight. "I would very much hope so," Sapochnik responded, before concluding, "Yes."

The audience was filled with excitement and applauded the tease.

Game of Thrones will return for its seventh season in 2017.
