The upcoming season of Mystery Science Theater 3000 will air as a Netflix original series, creator Joel Hodgson announced during the show's panel at Comic Con International: San Diego tonight.

Joel McHale and Dan Harmon, the star and showrunner of Community respectively, will join the writing staff of the series.

Bill Corbett, Kevin Murphy, and Mary Jo Pehl will reprise their roles as Brain Guy, Professor Bobo, and Pearl Forrester.

As seen above, Hodgson also revealed concept art from the rebooted MST3K at the show. It's likely this art is just a portion of what will find its way online soon, since during the panel they were liveblogging the content until poor internet connectivity at the convention center in San Diego led them to stop, promising more to come in the morning.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 was brought back in part by Kickstarter funding. The new series will be executive produced and overseen by Hodgson, but will star Jonah Hill and Felicia Day in key "human" roles with support from Patton Oswalt. The Bots will be voiced by comedians Baron Vaughn as Tom Servo and Hampton Yount as Crow T. Robot.
