Pokemon Go has been released to another major European country. The popular mobile app went live in France this morning, a week after the game went live for many other European countries. The game was released in Great Britain on July 14, with a secondary rollout for 26 other European countries later that week.

This is Pokemon Go's second major release in the last few days. Niantic Labs also released the game to Japan on Friday after pushing the rollout back several times in order to add more server capacity. Pokemon Go has been plagued by several major server crashes since its release earlier this month, but the game's servers have stabilized in recent days.

Now that France and Japan have Pokemon Go, major countries without the app include the Philippines, South Korea, China, India, and Brazil. It's expected that Niantic will finish the worldwide rollout later this month before the release of the Pokemon Go Plus device that links up with the game.

Pokemon Go is the most downloaded app in history, with over 30 million downloads on the Google Play Store and setting a record for most "first week" downloads on the Apple App store. The game is free to play, although there are optional in app purchases.
