Reportedly, thousands of actors auditioned for the part of a young Han Solo, who will appear in the second Star Wars standalone film. The role eventually went to 26-year-old actor, Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!), and was made official last week at Star Wars Celebration Europe.

As part of Conan O'Brien's "Live from Comic-Con" series, the show put together a sketch in which numerous celebrities auditioned for young Han Solo. It's in the same vein as Saturday Night Live's Star Wars audition sketches.

So, who took part in it? Bill Hader (Saturday Night Live), Will Arnett (The LEGO Batman Movie), Melissa McCarthy (Ghostbusters), Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), Jodie Foster (Contact), Adam Sandler (Happy Gilmore), Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson (Southpaw), and Jeff Goldblum (Independence Day: Resurgence).

Hands down, Hader is the best of the bunch, though it's not just because of his hilarious audition of a young, whiny Han Solo. His impressions of a young Chewbacca and Jabba the Hutt are a must-see!

The Han Solo standalone film will star Alden Ehrenreich in the title role and is being directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (The LEGO Movie, 21 Jump Street). The screenplay was written by Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back, The Force Awakens) and his son Jon.

Han Solo: A Star Wars Story will be released on May 25, 2018.
