Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 And 2 Out Now With New Launch Trailer

Marvel Games surprised fans during San Diego Comic-Con with the news that not only would Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2 be coming to current-gen consoles and PC, but that it would release merely a few days later.

Well, it's launch day, and Activision has released new trailers for both games, which can be purchased separately (at $39.99 each) or as a bundle, which will retail for $59.99.

The original Marvel: Ultimate Alliance released back in 2006, and has remained a fan favorite for its faithful recreations of Marvel's most iconic heroes, and its fun and addictive gameplay. It didn't hurt that the game included over 22 playable characters, and they felt genuine unique. You'll have access to heroes like Thor, Captain America, Storm, Invisible Woman, Blade, Wolverine, and many others.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 was released in 2009, and centered around Marvel's Civil War. The game made you pick sides, just like in the book and let you control over 24 playable characters. Both games will include online play as well as 4 player couch co-op.

Ultimate Alliance doesn't seem to have received too much touching up and seems more like a traditional port. Ultimate Alliance 2, on the other hand, seems to benefit from some new lighting effects and higher res textures, but I can't confirm that it actually did.
