When fans learned Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 footage was aired at San Diego Comic Con, the Internet threatened to full-on riot if the teaser wasn't uploaded online. Those threats proved empty, however, after James Gunn confirmed Marvel Studios would be withholding the footage given its shoddy visual FXs. Obviously, many people were disappointed by the update, but now Kevin Feige is teasing when fans might see the anticipated trailer.

Speaking with Collider, Kevin Feige implied the trailer could drop when Marvel's next film is released. So, if you're planning to see Doctor Strange when it hits November 4th, you may just get to see some GotG Vol. 2 footage before the screening. Yes, that means fans will have to wait a couple more months to see anything, but Feige has stressed the wait will be worth it.

During the same interview, Feige also discussed Groot's new look in the film and answered a few questions about the fan-favorite character. Fans will of course remember the first GotG film ended with Groot transformed into a sapling. The SDCC teaser footage confirmed Groot would still be a baby in the sequel, so Collider asked if Groheot would still have its memories or if the cute tree-alien would be starting off fresh. Feige answered easily, likening Groot to Star Trek's Spock in a spot-on comparison.

"He remembers. He's not mentally a baby, he is still Groot...I sort of equate it to Spock circa the end of Search for Spock and The Voyage Home," he said.

Feige also confirmed the relationship which existed between Groot and Rocket Raccoon in the first film would be carried over to the next film. "The amount of heart that you get out of this trash panda raccoon and now this little twig baby Groot is actually awe-inspiring. It is amazing what he's done with those two characters," he said.

Really, all fans really want to see now is Rocket cradling Baby Groot and taking care of the fledgling in an adorably cute-slash-grumpy fashion. With Groot's unexpectedly change, Rocket found himself transformed into a wily older brother.
