When it comes Pokemon, Ditto is oh-so underrated. The normal-type creature is arguably one of the coolest pokemon ever. The shape-shifting pokemon can take on the features (usually!) of any opponent it encounters, regardless of shape or size. Ditto's adorably blank face is something that gaming communities have based hundreds of memes upon, and now, the blobby companion has now turned into what might be the world's plushiest pillow.
This gigantic pillow will be for sale at the Japanese Pokemon Center next week, and foreign fans are already petitioning for the item to make an U.S. debut. I mean, I'm not saying that people won't shell out some cash for international shipping if they need to, but they totally will.
However, Ditto's cost is already something to balk at. The squeezable pillow will cost just under $130, and its official release date is set for August 6th. So, really, this would be the perfect gift for any Pokemon fanatic gearing up for, say, college. After all, who wouldn't want to share their cramped dorm space with an over-sized Ditto plushie? It'll at least make their beds more comfortable, for sure.
As for its dimensions, this Ditto pillow stands at 25.5 inches tall and will stretch out a little over 2 feet. Like the pokemon itself, this pillow is changeable enough to satisfy the needs of whatever its trainer wants. But, if you're still a little hesitant to drop so much on a pillow, then the Pokemon Center has an alternative for you.
Both the Japanese and U.S. Pokemon Center have a slightly smaller 'Sleepy Ditto' pillow already available for purchase. At 17 inches tall, the other pillow is just a tad smaller, but its adorably sleepy face is more than enough to make up for the size difference.
