DreamWorks' Bee Movie, the 2007 animated film that starred Jerry Seinfeld, received mix reviews and earned $287.6 million at the worldwide box office, though it cost $150 million to produce. However, it was nominated for Best Animated Feature Film at the 65th Golden Globe Awards.

Even though the lackluster box office and critical reception don't demand a sequel, there are fans of the film that are craving a follow-up and have asked Seinfeld about the possibility. The 62-year-old stand-up comedian/actor appears to have interest as well, but before he goes down that path, he is gauging interest with his 4 million Twitter followers.

A hit comedy from comic icon Jerry Seinfeld, an ambitious young worker bee Barry B. Benson (Seinfeld) soars out into the world in search of nectar and adventure. But when he breaks one of the cardinal rules of beedom and speaks to humans, including Vanessa Bloom (voiced by Renée Zellweger), Barry sets off an un-bee-lievable chain of events that proves even a little bee can make a big difference.

The cast also featured Matthew Broderick as Adam Flayman, Chris Rock as Mooseblood the Mosquito, Patrick Warburton as Ken, Kathy Bates as Janet B. Benson, Barry Levinson as Martin B. Benson, John Goodman as Layton T. Montgomery, Megan Mullally as Trudy, Rip Torn as Lou Lo Duca, Oprah Winfrey as Judge Bumbleton, and Michael Richards as Bud Ditchwater.

Bee Movie was directed by directed by Simon J. Smith and Steve Hickner, based on a script written by Seinfeld, Spike Feresten, Barry Marder, and Andy Robin.
