Critics might be divided, but audiences are still turning out for Warner Bros. Suicide Squad.

Gitesh Pandya from BoxOfficeGuru posted some updated numbers for Monday, and the Squad managed to bring in some significant earnings.

"Hefty $13.1M MON for #SuicideSquad going to about $175M in 1st full week, cracking $200M on SAT. Possible $225M+ after 2nd wknd."

While the film didn't hit that $150 million estimation that some had predicted, it still managed to bring in around $133 million, which is not too shabby, especially considering how brutal some of the early reviews were. For Jeff Goldstein, Executive Vice President of Distribution for Warner Bros., the line between critics and audiences is pretty stark, and he's glad that audiences are finding things to enjoy about the film.

"It bested anything that we could have expected. The marketing campaign was brilliant and the performances by the cast, starting with Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Jared Leto, were just extraordinary. They're fun and wicked and fans enjoy it."

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world's most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government's disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren't picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it's every man for himself?

Suicide Squad is now playing in theaters.
